DETERMINATION IN THE FACE OF CHALLENGES

As we enter the season with open hearts, we bring forth both joyful and trying updates. In these moments, we find solace in the biblical truth: "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Your prayers and steadfast support continue to fortify us on this journey.

“Action De Grâce” at Fonds Parisien

In a beautiful celebration of gratitude, our recent "Action De Grâce" at Fonds Parisien brought together over 1200 church members from the Southeast area of Haiti. Your support helped create this joyous occasion filled with praise, worship, and fellowship. The spirit of unity was palpable, reminding us of the strength that comes from standing together as a community of believers.

Challenges Amidst Gang Violence

Regrettably, gang violence continues to plague certain areas, particularly downtown and at the national Route 1 bypass. We earnestly pray for those affected by the ongoing gang wars. A recent event saw the assassination of a gang leader in downtown Port au Prince by another gang faction, sparking relentless fighting for territory. Our hearts go out to those in the midst of this turmoil.

Determination in the Face of Challenges

Pastor Eddy, leading the community in Fonds Cheval, faces significant challenges due to gangs blocking the area's entrance. Despite his strong desire to be present for church services, the risks are too great. Members have prevented him from going, understanding the danger involved. Undeterred, Pastor Eddy has found a creative solution, preaching by phone call. It is through your donations that Pastor Eddy is able to add credits to his cell phone, and through an amplifier, the church members can listen to the Word of God being preached.  Let’s continue to lift Pastor Eddy and the other pastors, knowing that together, we can assist in making their challenges more manageable.

I pray that God blesses your home this Christmas season, for God blesses us to be a blessing to others. I invite you to join us in being the hands and feet of Jesus during this giving season as you keep our Haitian pastors in mind. They are desperately in need of your support and encouragement.
