Madan Mirano is a member of the Christian Church of Thoman, where Pastor Enock faithfully serves his community. For years, Madan, her husband, and their eight children lived in extremely difficult conditions. Their home was a small structure made of dirt walls and a roof of leaves, offering little protection, especially during the rainy season. They had nowhere safe to stay, often staying up through the night, or when the rain poured hard, they would run to higher ground with a tarp over their heads.

Pastor Enock witnessed their situation firsthand. Each visit was a heavy reminder of their need, yet he never stopped praying. Time and again, he brought their story before the mission, trusting that God would make a way. And He did.

Through the generosity of the Haitian Christian Church of West Palm Beach, where Betty serves as a worship leader, members of Mountain View Church in Glenwood Springs, and friends from Australia led by Debbie and Steve Rasmussen, God answered those prayers. Because of their faithful support, and yours, Madan Mirano and her family now have a safe, secure home. No longer do they fear the rain. No longer do they wonder where they will sleep. What makes this story even more remarkable is how the home was built. There are no roads leading to their location. Every piece of material had to be carried on heads, by donkeys, or by other animals, up a mountain, a 45-minute walk to the top.

Today, their house stands as the first of its kind in that area, built with cement blocks and a sheet metal roof, a visible sign of transformation and hope. Madan and her family shared that this home is more than a shelter, it is proof of God’s love. A reminder that when you trust in Him and serve Him faithfully, nothing is impossible.

They expressed deep gratitude to everyone who prayed, gave, and believed that this was possible. In their words, God has transformed them, from those with nothing into people with a place to call their own.

This story is not just about one family; it’s about what happens when the body of Christ comes together in faith and action. Because of your prayers and generosity, lives are being changed in tangible, lasting ways. Families are finding hope. Communities are being strengthened. And the love of Christ is being made visible. Thank you for being part of what God is doing in Haiti.
